Classic rock is a US radio format that covers rock music from the mid-1960s to mid-1990s. Outside of radio, the term usually refers to rock released in the mid-1960s to mid-1980s.
Although it’s not as popular with DJs as hip-hop and dance music, classic rock is timeless and played in a wide variety of gigs. Anthems like Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer,” Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams,” and AC/DC’s “Back in Black” are staples in many DJ sets.
